Form 12BB Generator

Makes a PDF

Form 12BB is the statement you submit to your employer to claim HRA, LTA, home loan interest, and other deductions for TDS purposes. Fill in your declared amounts to generate a print-ready PDF.

From tax year 2026-27, the Income-tax Rules, 2026 replace Form 12BB with Form 124. It asks for the same claims plus your relationship to the landlord. Many employers collect these details through their own portal, so check what yours accepts. This PDF covers the standard claims (HRA, LTA, home loan interest and Chapter VI-A deductions) with landlord and lender details; add your relationship to the landlord if your employer asks for it. What is Form 12BB?

Form 12BB is the statement prescribed under Rule 26C of the Income Tax Rules that salaried employees submit to their employer to claim deductions and exemptions — such as HRA, LTA, home loan interest, and Chapter VI-A deductions — before the employer finalizes TDS on salary for the year.

Do I need to attach proof?

Yes — employers typically ask for supporting evidence (rent receipts, loan interest certificates, insurance premium receipts, donation receipts, etc.) alongside Form 12BB, especially before the last quarter of the financial year. This tool only assembles your declared figures into the standard form layout; it does not validate eligibility or generate proof documents.

When is landlord PAN mandatory?

If your annual rent paid exceeds ₹1,00,000, the Income Tax Department requires you to furnish your landlord's PAN along with this declaration. If the landlord doesn't have a PAN, a declaration from the landlord to that effect is generally required instead.
