What should a salary slip include?
A proper Indian payslip needs the employee's identity, the pay period, a clear breakup of earnings and deductions, and the final net pay — both in figures and in words. Missing any of these is the usual reason a payslip gets rejected as proof of income for loans, visas, or rental applications.
- Company name and the month the payslip covers
- Employee's name, ID (if any), and designation
- A breakup of earnings — basic, HRA, allowances
- A breakup of deductions — PF, professional tax, TDS
- Gross earnings, total deductions, and net pay, in figures and words
Is this legally valid?
This generates a standard payslip format accepted for common uses like loan applications, visa processing, and rental verification. For statutory compliance (PF/ESI filings, Form 16 reconciliation), check with your accountant — this tool handles the payslip itself, not the underlying payroll filings.
